Brendan O'Flaherty

I grew up in Germany and just outside of Washington, D.C., before moving to New York City to attend New York University. There, I graduated from NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study with a B.A. in "Maintaining Power," through which I explored power relations across psychological, sociological, and historical frameworks, with a focus on education and social contract theory. With over 16 years of experience at TestTakers, I have taught SAT and ACT material across all subjects, trained educators, and helped develop curriculum and diagnostic materials. I am drawn to teaching not just by the challenge of conveying lessons clearly and reinforcing those concepts, but also by making sure students enjoy their time while learning. Beyond the classroom, I am passionate about sports (both playing and watching), music (playing and listening), reading (just about everything), and traveling with my incredible wife and our adopted dog, Rosa.
