Isabella Roccanova

I was a straight-A student in high school, with a curriculum composed entirely of Honors and AP courses. I attended Fordham University for college, studying both Computer Science and Digital Communications. I graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Digital Technology and Emerging Media, and a minor in Computer Science. Across my entire academic career, I found the biggest factor of my engagement and success in a class was the instructor. It is my firm belief that an enthusiastic, passionate, and personable instructor can make any topic (yes, even SAT studying!) interesting and engaging. As a tutor, my main focus is connecting with my students and helping them master the fundamental material and techniques. Solid scores, after all, are built upon solid foundations. My biggest joy as an instructor is being able to help a student understand a concept or a problem they’re struggling with, and reach that “ah-ha!” stage of understanding. Ultimately, my goal at TestTakers is to help students not only build their strategies and material knowledge, but also their confidence in themselves and their ability to score well. In my time out of the office I’m an avid gamer, crafter, and reader of fantasy and sci fi.
